FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Here are the questions DFW homeowners and businesses ask us most about junk removal, pricing, and what we can and can’t haul. If yours isn’t here, call or text 817-779-3257 and we’ll answer it.
How much does junk removal cost?
Most jobs are priced by volume, so what you pay depends on how much space your junk takes up in our truck. Our minimum charge is $99. We walk through your junk before we touch it and give you a firm price, so there’s no surprise on the bill when we’re done.
How big is a full truckload?
Our truck is 12 feet long, 8 feet deep, and 5 feet high, which works out to 17 cubic yards. That’s about the same as 8 pickup truck loads. A quarter load is 4.25 cubic yards, a half load is 8.5, and a three-quarter load is 12.75.
Is there a discount for booking online?
Yes. Book a quarter load or more online and we’ll take $20 off your total.
How do I pay?
When the truck pulls away, you can settle up with cash, check, card, or Zelle, whichever is easiest for you.
Do I have to accept the quote?
No. Once we’re on site we walk through the space, ask questions about anything we’re unsure of, and give you a price on the spot. Nothing gets loaded until you say so.
Do you offer same-day junk removal?
Yes. We can often be there the same day or the next day. Call, text, or book online and we’ll get you on the schedule.
What are your hours?
Monday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
What areas do you serve?
We’re based in Arlington, TX and serve the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, including Arlington, Bedford, Benbrook, Cedar Hill, Coppell, Crowley, Duncanville, Euless, Forest Hill, Fort Worth, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Haltom City, Hurst, Irving, Keller, Kennedale, Mansfield, North Richland Hills, Saginaw, Southlake, and Watauga, plus the surrounding communities.
What items do you take?
Armoires and wardrobes, beds and mattresses, barbeque grills, clothing and toys, construction debris, electronics and TVs, hoarding junk, hot tubs, play equipment, recyclable materials, refrigerators, stoves and ovens, treadmills and weights, washers and dryers, wood furniture, and yard waste, among plenty of other things. We also handle cars, motorcycles, tires, scrap metal, and carpet.
What items can’t you take?
We can’t haul biohazard items, hazardous or dangerous items, pressurized containers, fuels and car fluids, herbicides and pesticides, or wet paint. If you’re not sure which category something falls into, ask us before your appointment and we’ll tell you.
Do I need to move anything to the curb first?
No. Don’t bother dragging anything out. Our crew carries everything out of your home or business, including items from upstairs or across the yard, and loads it into the truck.
Do you clean up afterward?
Yes. Once the load-out is finished we sweep up the area before we haul everything away.
What happens to my stuff after you take it?
You never have to sort recycling or make a trip to the landfill. We handle it. If your old stuff is still in good condition, our first stop is a donation center like Goodwill or the ReStore.
Do you do demolition, or only hauling?
Both. Along with junk removal we handle light demolition work, including bathroom, kitchen, garage, shed, drywall, interior, and mobile home demolition, and we haul the debris away when we’re done.
Can you take a whole storage unit, garage, or estate?
Yes. We do full cleanouts for apartments, houses, garages, attics, storage units, estates, offices, restaurants, retail spaces, and assisted living and senior housing. Loads of all types and sizes are fine, and services can be combined to fit your job.
Who owns Junk Geeks?
Junk Geeks is a locally owned, family-operated business based in Arlington. Owner Crandalle Robinson and his team have been running it since 2020.
